Watch This Cab Driver Glow with Respect for John Elway, Not Knowing He’s in the Back Seat

Denver Broncos GM and 2004 Hall of Fame inductee John Elway was in Washington, D.C. for the inauguration and while there, he had a comical run-in with an unsuspecting fan of his. In a cab with a few other people including his friend Glenn Stearns and his wife, Paige Green, Elway is driven by Pittsburgh Steelers fan Sam Snow. During the car ride, Snow lists his top three quarterbacks of all time.

He starts the list with Elway at the top, begrudgingly puts Tom Brady at number two, and says Ben Roethlisberger is his number three. Snow jokes that even men would want to have sex with Elway with the money he has. Then when Snow is asked if he’d recognize Elway in person, he replied with a definite yes. Soon after, he’s asked to turn around, only to be greeted by Elway himself. Snow proceeds to freak out and demands to take a picture with him, sans sunglasses, when the ride is over. He also respectfully busts Elways’ chops about beating the Steelers in the 1998 AFC title game.

As a side note, Elway was spotted with Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo while in D.C., which fuels rumors of a trade even more.
