Anik Khan EP 'I Dont Know Yet'

Stream Anik Khan’s ‘I Don’t Know Yet’

Words by Tara Mahadevan

After teasing us with a couple loosies on his SoundCloud, Bengali-born, Queens-bred rapper Anik Khan has finally dropped his debut EP, I Don’t Know Yet, a 9-song apex of his journey towards finding a balance between the Bengali household he was born in and the inner-city lifestyle he was raised in. He easily draws his listener in by combining Bollywood aesthetics with classic boom bap sounds, and by touching on his dreams, struggles, and triumphs as he chases the American Dream.

Through IDKY, Khan is able to provide a voice for a generation that is a little more lost than it is found, and creates a space for South Asian kids in hip hop. Regardless of the title, Khan still manages to prove that because he knows where he came from, he still has a pretty good idea of where he’s going.
