Psymun Pink Label Album Artwork

Psymun – “Pink Label” EP

It’s difficult to keep track of all the new music hitting the Internet each week from the thousands of bedroom producers out there. Your best bet is to find a handful of beatmakers you enjoy and keep an eye on their SoundCloud for new music. And while the label of “bedroom producer” may seem disparaging to some, it’s a perfect fit for Psymun. The Minneapolis-based producer’s lush and ambient instrumentals literally sound like they were crafted on a cold day in a warm bedroom with his friends.

Psymun’s new EP, Pink Label, features appearances from up-and-comers like Allan Kingdom, Chester Watson, and Bobby Raps, artists that perfectly blend in with his warm and syncopated production. Each song feels like it was recorded in one take, with slight imperfections that add a feeling of familiarity. However, those unfamiliar with Psymun may initially draw comparisons to producers like Flying Lotus or Shlohmo, which isn’t bad company to be amongst.

Stream Psymun’s Pink Label below and pick up a physical copy of the project here.
