Lil Uzi Vert is Already Teasing ‘Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World 2’

Lil Uzi Vert is fresh off the first No. 1 album of his career, Luv is Rage 2, but he’s already looking forward to a new project. In a new clip, taken from Uzi’s Instagram, the Philly star can be seen teasing what appears to be unreleased music from the potential sequel to his star-turning Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World project.

Just A Vibe💨🚷 ….👨🏾‍🎤vs🌏2® ? 🙄

“I know what I can and I can’t do/ I know every time that I’ma come through,” raps Lil Uzi in the snippet. The Billboard 200 isn’t the only place Uzi’s seen success of late. His hauntingly euphoric “XO Tour Llif3” single, his biggest hit yet, peaked at No. 7 on the Hot 100, another personal best. Prior to that, Uzi enjoyed a lengthy run with Migos on “Bad and Boujee,” which peaked at No. 1. Still, the stage-leaper isn’t tired just yet.

It’s additionally intriguing that Lil Uzi Vert. vs. the World 2 would be a sequel to the mixtape that made Uzi a star. It was via the first vs. the World that the rap-rocker made his first two solo Hot 100 entries, “Money Longer” and “You Was Right,” including a Top 40 placement for the latter.

It might behoove Atlantic Records to encourage Uzi’s quick trigger—he’s released three full-length projects since April 2016—considering the returns they’ve experienced. Uzi is consistently among the most streamed artists in hip hop, and “XO Tour Llif3” generated a reported $4.5 million in revenue.

Why not go streaking?
