Blac Youngsta, Associates Surrender to Police In Young Dolph Shooting Investigation

TMZ is reporting that Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta turned himself into cops investigating a shootout in Charlotte that targeted fellow Memphis rapper Young Dolph back in February. No injuries were sustained during the melee, but roughly 100 rounds were fired. Dolph described the shooting in a recent MASS APPEAL interview.

The TMZ report states that arrest warrants were issued for Youngsta and two of his associates, spurring their subsequent surrender in Charlotte today. Prior to today, Youngsta—who is signed to Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint—was perhaps best known for counting $200,000 during an interview on The Breakfast Club radio show in NYC.

Back in February, shocking reports of a wild shootout in Charlotte emanated from CIAA weekend, claiming that over 100 rounds were fired in a barrage that targeted Young Dolph’s SUV. In a subsequent interview, Dolph claimed that jealousy spurred the shooting, and revealed that he’d dropped $300,000 on a bulletproof vehicle in preparation for an attempt on his life. That was one hell of a proactive move.

Less thant two months after the shooting, Dolph released his second studio album, Bulletproof, featuring Gucci Mane and production from Metro Boomin and Zaytoven. His riff with Blac Youngsta can be traced back to early 2016, when the two rappers roped Yo Gotti into a beef over the ‘king of Memphis’ title.

The beef has been brewing for months. In February Dolph tweeted about someone who wanted to sign him but then ended up being his “BIGGEST HATER.”

Then in early March Blac Youngsta—who is signed to Yo Gotti—reportedly visisted Dolph’s neighborhood in South Memphis with a heavily armed crew. Two weeks later Dolph’s SUV was peppered with automatic weapons fire. Asked if he was surprised at the attempt on his life, Dolph told MASS APPEAL: “I was surprised but I wasn’t surprised. If that makes any sense.”

Before turning himself in Youngsta tweeted the following:
