OVO’s Baka Not Nice is Back With “Money in the Bank”

One of the hottest under-the-radar bangers of this past summer was Baka Not Nice’s track “Live Up to My Name.” Now the OVO signee and Drake’s former bodyguard is back with a new track called “Money in the Bank.”

Over bright keys and some snappy snares, Baka spits rhymes about his newfound success and all the guap that comes with it. He brings some heavy wordplay to the first verse with the lines, “Locked up cause a nigga didn’t tell/ Real nigga never took the deal like Chapelle/ Water dripping because I treat the jail like a hotel/ My cellie tripping because I got a celly in my cell.”

Although Baka Not Nice has certainly made some major missteps in his life, Drake ended up signing him this summer after stressing that Baka has reformed himself. “When Baka got out of jail, there’s a lot of different paths that he could have took, and he decided to focus on music,” Drake said at the MC’s signing party.

Baka’s debut album is titled 4Milli, but currently has no release date.
