XXXTentacion Goes Rock With the Emotional “garette’s REVENGE”

Apparently, XXXTentacion won’t be letting his notoriety as a rapper keep him from diving headfirst into other genres. Less than one week after releasing that unusual and cringe-worthy pop song with Diplo, XXX has returned with an alternative rock song called “garette’s REVENGE.”

Over an acoustic guitar riff and some soft drums, the Florida Man belts out a somber song derived from the famous Confucius quote, “If you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.” In the description, he wrote, “I love you Garette, rest in peace Jocelyn, I will have my revenge upon the world.” Yesterday, X took to IG live where he told the story about the suicide of his friend Jocelyn Flores. You can watch the whole video below or skip to the part where he mentions her here.

Read the lyrics right quick:

“I’ve dug two graves for us my dear, cant pretend that I was perfect, leaving you in fear, oh man, what a world the things I hear/ If i could act on my revenge, than oh would I/ Some kill, some steal, some break your heart, and you had thought that I would let it go and let you walk/ Well broken hearts break bones, so break up fast, and I don’t wanna let it go, so in my grave I’ll rot (repeat).”

It’s just another Soundcloud loosie from the controversial rapper but is certainly one of his deeper releases, and the fans are with it.

Of course there’s always gonna be some haters, and a few are not happy with the wide left turn he’s made.

The South Florida rapper also just released his first album, Revenge, earlier this week. Peep that here:
