Westside Gunn and MF DOOM Will Collab On WESTSIDEDOOM

Earlier today the biggest name in hardcore rap, Westside Gunn, revealed on Instgram that he is doing a whole project with indie legend DOOM! Not only will this be a collabo between two of the illest MCs in the game, the joint project also brings together two of the most respected producers: The Alchemist and Daringer. That’s some straight Fab Four shit, right there.

The artwork that accompanies the announcement is bananas too: a Bernard Rollins illustration of WSG wearing a broken and bloodied version of DOOM’s trademark mask. Here’s the audio snippet that comes with the post, for all you nonbelievers:

To call this a big surprise is putting it mildly. While DOOM is well known for his collaborations (MADVILLAIN, DANGERDOOM, DOOMSTARKS), the Griselda team keep their circle pretty tight. This is not something anyone was expecting. Basically, GxFR and DOOM fans, you can now die. But all kidding aside, this team-up sends an important message:

Game still recognize game.
