Watch the Trailer for the New Amy Winehouse Documentary

The first trailer for Amy, the Amy Winehouse documentary chronicling the late musician’s life and career, has been released. The film features previously unseen archival footage and unreleased music from the singer and tells the story of Winehouse’s life in her own words.

As we previously reported, the film will be helmed by BAFTA award-winning director Asif Kapadia and explore the singer’s relationships and battles with media attention. Winehouse passed away back in July 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning. While the film is due out July 3 in the U.K., there’s currently no North American release scheduled. Watch the trailer above.
