Eight Artists Respond To Donald Trump’s Reign Of Error

Remember back in February when we sent Donald Trump a President’s Day message that the writing was on the wall?

In the seven months since that time America has gone from a collective “Holy Shit” moment to an absurd nightmare. Every day seems to bring fresh fuckery, but the events in Charlottesville, and the President’s sketchy response to this outrageous uprising of hate, were definitely a new low. The fact is that Agent Orange should never have been elected “leader of the free world” in the first place, and his whole administration has been one big reign of error.

Although we know that Trump doesn’t pay attention to important messages, we at MASS APPEAL still believe art has the power to give voice many people’s unspoken outrage. So we asked O.G. David “CHINO” Villorente to ask a few of his friends for visual depictions of the madness now gripping this entire country by the throat. Some shared existing work, others created new work just for the occasion. The results can be seen below.

“It’s really dope that artists speak up and have an informed opinion,” says CHINO. “Many of these artists are down with established train-era NYC graffiti crews like TMT, XMen, AOK, FC, and IBM.”

The writing is definitely on the wall. Make of it what you will.
