The Internet “Girl” ft. KAYTRANADA

In anticipation of their third studio album, Ego Death, jazz/fusion group The Internet have teamed up with Canadian producer KAYTRANADA for the sultry new single “Girl.” After a quiet period since their last project in 2013, Feel Good, the group seems to be coming back in full force. The track features lead singer Syd tha Kyd’s luscious vocals sitting over warped chords, funky synth basslines, and some slightly off-kilter drums.

“Girl” is only the second single The Internet’s released off their upcoming project, scheduled to drop via Odd Future and Sony on June 30. The group has kept relatively quiet about details surrounding Ego Death, though they did reveal the tracklisting with appearances from Vic Mensa, Janelle Monae, James Fauntleroy, and of course Tyler the Creator.

Stream “Girl” below via SoundCloud, and check out Ego Death on June 30.
