Shiftee - Dope Girls ft. TT The Artist (UNIIQU3 Remix)

Shiftee “Dope Girls” ft. TT The Artist (UNIIQU3 Remix)

Baltimore, Jersey, and New York come together today in the name of girl power and dance floor lituation with this Uniiqu3 remix of Shiftee’s “Dope Girls” ft. TT The Artist. It takes on the mood of a pop club track with bright synth lines and super crisp but sparse kicks. Shuffling “Sing Sing” type percussion keeps the energy up while TT handles emcee duties.

This is the first in a series of remixes for the appropriately titled track by an all-female line up. Once the project is released in its entirety, it will feature the likes of Philly’s Gun$ Garcia, Flava D from London, Kozee, Ducky, and more.

Shiftee’s original features an old school rap beat with more straightforward vocals. The DMC world champ also put together his own live performance version of the track, where he chops up the vocals with as much skill as any remixer could, but in real time via a combination of turntables and drum machine. He also plays the percussion and skills the keyboard live at the same damn time. It’s a little baffling to watch, but he’s a true musician that can keep all that straight in his head at once.
