HUNTR strange

PREMIERE: HUNTR “Strange”

Remember Gilbere Forte? His appearance on the Stromae remix of “Alors On Danse” with Kanye West still gets plays on my iPod today. He had a few gap years of staying under the radar to re-emerge with a new act, HUNTR. The four man band is comprised of frontmen Gilbere Forte and Raak with drummer Nick Audy and Kazakhstani guitarist Boris Likharev. The band reminds me of Mayday, combining rock and hip hop to create a crossover sound that would make for a crazy live show.

HUNTR’s self-titled album will be available 9/23 and the next single from it should have you amped for all of your Labor Day weekend plans. The energy ebbs and flows as Gilbere and Raak battle perceptions of reality. Figure out how strange they can get below and you can also check out their last video for “Veins” below that.

The band explained the inspiration for the song to us in an email:

“Strange is the moment of clarity when one questions reality, and the anger associated with changing it.”
