Ninjasonik “Jump Around” ft. Traptain Morgan

Jump Around Single Artwork

Ninjasonik takes it back to 1992 with their cover of the House of Pain house party classic “Jump Around.” The duo consisting of Telli and Jah Jah update the party anthem with some trap drums and slapping snares courtesy of Traptain Morgan, but still pay homage with the distinctive horn fanfare intro and high-pitched saxophone squeal at the beginning of every bar, like the original song. I can’t even front, when I was shorty running around in cross colors and overalls the original version was my shit. Me and my little sister would turn up crazy to it, so it’s really dope to see the same energy be revived in 2013. Even the artwork pays homage to the House of Pain logo which features an upside down shamrock inside of a skull within an Irish crest. When asked about the song the guys simply said:

“Welcome to the NEW NEW YORK…it was getting cold so we thought y’all could use a cover”

Check out the song below, as well as the original House of Pain artwork and video.
