It Looks Like N*E*R*D is About to Make a Comeback

N*E*R*D made a permanent place in the hearts of many with their early-aughts run. But the Neptunes’ transformative alternative hip hop group haven’t released new music since 2010 and last appeared in public together for a brief reunion during Pharrell Williams’ set at the 2014 edition of Camp Flog Naw.

But now its been announced the group will headline the second annual ComplexCon festival, happening on November 4 and 5 in Long Beach, California.

Also of note, N*E*R*D’s pages on Twitter and Facebook have been wiped clean, a practice artists often employ when they’re about to make a major announcement.

When asked about the possibility of a fifth N*E*R*D album during an episode of his OTHERTone radio show on Beats1 back in November, Williams responded, “The answer is yes.” There hasn’t been much else to go on since.

When N.*E*R*D did perform“Rock Star” at the Camp Flog Gnaw three years ago, festival founder Tyler, the Creator tweeted,  “Full tears when they came out.” Imagine how he’ll react to a new album.
