DOOM and Adult Swim End Their Relationship

The Missing Notebook Rhymes have gone missing again. On every Tuesday since August 7, Adult Swim had delivered a track from the archives of DOOM (formerly known as MF DOOM). The partnership already unearthed seven tracks from the mysterious and beloved artist, including collaborations with Jay Electronica and Kool Keith, and was scheduled to last a total of 15 weeks. But on Tuesday, September 27, The Missing Notebooks Rhymes disappeared from Adult Swim’s website.

After MASS APPEAL contacted Adult Swim about this development, we received the following statement from a spokesperson on Tuesday night: “Adult Swim is ending our relationship with DOOM, and thus, the remaining Missing Notebook Rhymes will unfortunately have to remain…missing. We are glad to have had the chance to provide the previous free tracks to our fans.”

Earlier on Tuesday, the default URL for the project,, showed a crashed page and Adult Swim’s default message for it:

Later in the day, the URL stopped directing to the crashed page and as of now, it goes to the Adult Swim music main page.

Fans took to Twitter to complain about the DOOM-less Tuesday.

In the past, DOOM had worked with Adult Swim on projects including DANGERDOOM, a collaboration with producer Danger Mouse, and a DOOMSTARKS song that was part of the Adult Swim Singles program.

It remains unknown if the remaining Missing Notebook Rhymes will be released in the future or if the previously available ones will be officially released in some capacity again. DOOM, who maintains a sparse social media presence and rarely gives interviews, has not commented on the matter.
