DOOM and the Alchemist Connect For “DOOMSAYER”

As the rollout of the weekly The Missing Notebook of Rhymes series for Adult Swim continues, DOOM offers the solo cut “DOOMSAYER,” which is his first collaboration with producer the Alchemist.

The song sounds plucked straight out of Grand Theft Auto V, with a constant guitar riff and beat switches that cue changes in DOOM’s rhyme schemes. DOOM spits lines like, “Armed prince of funk/ A bomb in a hunkajunk trunk/ Metal palm on ya mom’s badunkadunk.”

It’s not yet clear whether “DOOMSAYER” will land on a project by DOOM or the Alchemist—the producer first teased a collabo nearly four years ago. “DOOMSAYER” is the third song of a 15-week series of drops by DOOM. Previous releases have yielded collaborations with Sean Price and Jay Electronica.
