WTF: Mariah Carey May Be Sued for Sexual Harassment and Reverse Racism

Let’s just get this out of the way: Reverse racism is not a real thing. But that, along with some sexual harassment allegations, was reason enough for Mariah Carey‘s former bodyguard to threaten one of the world’s most beloved divas with a lawsuit.

According to TMZ, Michael Anello, Mariah’s former bodyguard, is claiming that she owes him more than $700,000. And he’s preparing to sue for that money. In the draft for the lawsuit, Anello claims that Carey would call him a skinhead, KKK member and white supremacist—all of which are things that nobody wants to be called. He also says that she, “wanted to be surrounded with black guys, not white people.”

Anello’s security company was worked for Carey for almost two years, and he says he’s owed $221,329  from that time period. He also says that he was promised two more years of service, which amounts to more than $500,000.

The legal filings also allege that Mariah would perform “sexual acts with the intent that they be viewed by Anello,” and points to an incident that happened in Cabo San Lucas. Anello alleges that she summoned him to her bedroom in which she was wearing see-through lingerie and demanded that he move some luggage around.

TMZ says its talked to Mariah’s team about the potential legal case, indicating that the singer is paying money owed to Anello, but apparently both sides aren’t in agreement about the amount. So for now the lawsuit is still just a threat.

If we’re being honest, this all sounds like a bullshit attempt by Anello to cash in on a debt by using a PR smear campaign to strong-arm Carey.
