Fashawn Returns With Tight New EP, ‘Manna’

It’s been a few years since we’ve heard a new full project from Fresno MC Fashawn, but that changes next week with the release of his nine-track EP, Manna, now available for pre-order on Mass Appeal Records. The full EP drops next Friday 8/11, but pre orders will get you an instant gratification track “Manna (Moses),” a fitting follow-up to the politically charged “Mother Amerikkka.”

The eponymous “Fashawn” is packed with tightly wound wordplay as ‘Shawn absolutely floats over a piano melody, and the Snoop Dogg-featured “Pardon My G” puts the rapper in a late-night club ambiance over a bouncy number that he and Uncle Snoop handle with ease (with a more favorable lyric about the Wests tossed in for good measure). Manna is a great reminder of Fashawn’s versatility.
