BrunchCon is Coming to New York Because the World Isn’t Depressing Enough

That’s right, BrunchCon.

Scheduled for March 26th, organizers for BrunchCon tell visitors they will receive “tastings from each of our 50+ vendors and open mimosa bar from 11 AM – 3 PM” because what could possibly go wrong by with a massive bar crawl in the middle of the city on a Sunday morning?

In addition to the tasting, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase “brunch-related gear,” participate in rounds of speed dating, and visit something called a “hangover lounge.”

While we don’t have a complete list of vendors yet, but the following restaurants are expected to participate.

– Wowfulls
– Dana Confection Co.
– Sweetface Snoballs
– The Coop
– Malaysian Project
– Samui
– Cafe Grumpy
– Baba Cool
– Manousheh
– The Awkward Scone
– Bricolage

While this may have worked in L.A. it sounds like the makings of a nightmare for someone living in New York City. This brings back memories of NYC’s once beloved Pranna, known for their bottomless mimosas, belligerent patrons, and their $20 cover charge.

Cheers!
