‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is Upon Us With a Brutal New Trailer

The trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is finally here. In recent years Marvel Studios has steered all of their superheroes’ plot lines to have them link up and take on one big badass: Thanos.

The new trailer  shows us all of the heavyweights ready to fight: Dr. Strange wields his trippy magic, Bruce Banner/The Hulk seems as distraught as always, Tony Starks/Iron Man looms with blood on his hands, and the scruffy Guardians of the Galaxy stare at a one-eyed Thor. Of course, we get some hints of the battles to come as Thanos effortlessly dispatches Vision and an all out war appears to take place in Wakanda—the Black Panther’s kingdom in the jungles of Africa.

While 2017 has been a comedy-fueled year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Thor: Ragnarok, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, it appears that the jokes will stop in Infinity War, which is set for release in May of 2018.

Though 2017’s Logan featured characters from the Marvel-created X-Men universe, those films aren’t under the control of Marvel Studios. And the dark and violent Logan, which became one of the most successful R-Rated movies at the box office of all time, was far different than what Marvel had to offer this year. Perhaps Avengers: Infinity Stone will be more inline with that brutal vision.
