Don’t Sleep on A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky’s “The Mattress” Video

A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky’s chemistry is obvious, so the seamless connection they found on “The Mattress,” one of the brightest spots of Ferg’s recent Still Striving mixtape, was no surprise. They’ve also had their fair share of jubilant on-screen moments—Shabba!—and the new music video for the song is another fresh entry.

The video is a chaotic montage of footage of the two turning a Mattress Firm location into a nightclub, and wilding out in a city courtyard with similarly high-octane energy. At times, the picture melts, distorts and changes colors, hallmarks of the A$AP psychedelic realm, but the threads are still effortlessly jiggy.

Ferg has aggressively promoted Still Striving, which also features the singles “Plain Jane” and “East Coast.” He was also featured prominently on A$AP Mob’s compilation Cozy Boys Vol. 2: Too Cozy.

As for Rocky, he’ll continue to tease his upcoming fourth LP until he’s ready to stop. As per usual. For now, “The Mattress,” will do.
